Full MW4 campaign in beta now
Get ready to lock and load, because the Call of Duty universe is about to get a serious dose of action, and it’s packing a punch bigger than ever. Activision has just unveiled details for an upcoming beta of Modern Warfare 4, and it promises a revolutionary experience for fans waiting for the game to hit the market later this year.
This isn’t just another test; it’s a massive expansion for the franchise. For the very first time in the series, players will get to dive into a full campaign mission during the beta. Prepare yourselves for the story of Modern Warfare 4, and the first beta weekend is set to deliver the epic campaign titled Entrenched”>Entrenched.
But the action won’t stop there. The initial playtest weekend will also feature a roster of intense 6v6 multiplayer maps, including Rooftops, Silkworm, Transit 213, Cachette, and Lotus, allowing players to test the battlefield dynamics right from the start.
Activision is rolling out these playtest weekends in two stages to maximize the experience. The first weekend is focused on the campaign and core multiplayer maps, while the second weekend will introduce even more maps and diverse multiplayer modes, ensuring there’s plenty of fresh content for everyone to explore.
The game is slated for release on October 23, bringing the new experience to multiple platforms, including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and the Nintendo Switch 2. For those who pre-order the title, the single-player campaign mode will become accessible on October 16.
The beta phase is designed to give players maximum access. Between August 21 and 25, those who pre-order for console and PC will gain access to the early access testing. The following weekend, running from August 28 to September 1, will open the gates even wider, allowing owners of the Nintendo Switch 2 to jump in and experience the game early.
This new entry holds some significant history. Modern Warfare 4″>Modern Warfare 4 is poised to be the first Call of Duty title to launch on a Nintendo system since 2013. While the game won’t be arriving on PlayStation 4, future plans suggest it will eventually land on Xbox Game Pass, likely in Winter 2027, following recent adjustments to the subscription service.
