Yeat’s Surprise Guests: Kid Cudi & More at the LA Stop
After releasing his highly anticipated ADL album in March, Yeat immediately hit the road for his LOVE / LYFE TOUR, embarking on a North American trek that culminated in a massive performance at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
The show wasn’t just a concert; it was a genre-bending journey. With a sprawling 40-track setlist, Yeat delivered a rollercoaster ride through different eras of his prolific career. The energy was infectious, weaving together familiar sounds with thrilling surprise collaborations that left the audience in a state of delightful frenzy.
The tour kicked off with unexpected guest appearances, as BNYX and Zukenee provided stellar support in the opening acts. As the set progressed, the boundaries between artists blurred. Julia Wolf graced the stage, not only performing her breakout hit In My Room but also joining Yeat for a performance of “DOG HOUSE,” famously without the presence of Drake.
The party continued with Yeat bringing out longtime favorites. He teased the West Coast crowd with the introduction of Kid Cudi, an artist Yeat has long admired, who made a grand entrance to the Intuit Dome. The mood shifted further as Cudder upped the ante with his “Pursuit of Happiness” anthem, even making an appearance on one of Yeat’s tracks from the ADL record.
The surprises didn’t end there. The roster of collaborators expanded further when EsDeeKid popped out to perform their “Made It on Our Own” collaboration. This dynamic duo kept the energy high by delivering tracks like “Rottweiler,” “Century,” and “4 Raws.”
The night culminated with a final, rambunctious act, bringing the show to a thrilling close with Drake’s “IDGAF.” It was a perfect encapsulation of the chaotic, yet harmonious, vibe of the entire performance.
The success of the album paved the way for this kind of spectacle. ADL debuted strongly, landing at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 with 57,000 total album-equivalent units. Following this successful run, Yeat is already hinting at his next creative venture, teasing a project internally titled Cocoon.
The LOVE / LYFE TOUR remains on the road, continuing its momentum with an upcoming show in San Diego.
