The Man Announces 2026 Australian Tour Dates
Portugal. The Man Return Home: Denali Tour Hits the East Coast
The psychedelic rock collective Portugal. The Man is gearing up for a major Australian run this October as Live Nation announces the three-date East Coast leg of their ongoing Denali Tour. Fans can mark their calendars, as the band will be taking the stage at iconic venues across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
The tour kicks off on October 14th at Sydney’s Roundhouse, followed by a stop at the Forum in Melbourne on October 17th, and finally concludes in Brisbane at the Fortitude Music Hall on October 18th. This extensive run brings the band’s latest work to a new audience, featuring exciting new material alongside beloved catalogue tracks like “Feel It Still,” “Modern Jesus,” and “Live in the Moment.”
This journey follows the release of the group’s tenth studio album, SHISH, which dropped last November. The record delves deep into the band’s Alaskan roots, reflecting on themes of survival, connection, and the rhythms of rural life. The album’s title track, “Denali,” perfectly sets the stage for the tour.
The success of Portugal. The Man is built on a fascinating trajectory. Formed in Wasilla, Alaska, and now based in Portland, Oregon, Portugal, the group spent more than a decade cultivating a reputation for restless, genre-blurring psychedelic rock. Their moment in the spotlight arrived with the smash hit “Feel It Still” in 2017, which not only topped alternative airplay charts but also secured a Grammy win in 2018 for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
That breakout success led the band to create their most stylistically diverse records, culminating in the critically acclaimed SHISH. Beyond music, the group is known for using its platform to champion social and political causes, often advocating for local crews and workers—a mission perfectly encapsulated by the tour’s theme: “Support Your Local Crews and Workers.”
The Denali Tour is more than just a concert series; it’s an exploration of the band’s journey and their enduring message. Fans eager to experience this blend of psychedelic energy and heartfelt storytelling can secure their tickets during the general sale on Friday, August 21st at 12 p.m. local time. Presale opportunities, including a Mastercard presale and an artist presale, will run from August 19th and 20th.
