    Rico Nasty Finds Her Home in New Album RX

    Rico Nasty is back with a major announcement, dropping her highly anticipated new album RX on July 24th via Sugar Trap. This release isn’t just a collection of tracks; it feels like a deeply personal homecoming.

    The creative journey behind RX was fueled by a rediscovered connection with producer Kenneth Blume (formerly known as KennyBeats). Blume and Nasty have previously collaborated on her 2019 mixtape Anger Management and the track “Smack a Bitch.” For Nasty, reconnecting with him felt like finding someone who truly understood her—someone who was honest and unfiltered.

    “I missed someone that was honest with me,” Nasty shared about the collaboration. “And I missed someone who knew me back then, before I had any success. I felt like if I’m going to get back to doing me, I should go back to someone who can be real with me, somebody who’s not too serious or draining.” Blume echoes this sentiment, describing the project as a reminder of where Nasty came from and an acknowledgment of how far she has come.

    Blume describes the experience as profound: “From the day we met, no one has made me laugh harder or pushed me further out of my comfort zone,” he said. He views RX as a journey back to her roots while simultaneously gazing at how much she has evolved.

    The new project is already packed with compelling tracks, including the recent single “Cupcake,” which is a kaleidoscopic blend of electro-pop and trap energy. Other highlights from the album feature songs like “Rituals,” recorded during Nasty’s fall tour and while filming her role in the AppleTV+ series Margot’s Got Money Troubles, alongside contributions from artists like Dylan Brady (100 Gecs).

    Fans can anticipate a diverse listening experience on RX, featuring tracks such as “CDG Foams,” “Frenzy,” “Rotation,” “Runway,” and “Kiss N Make Up.”

    Beyond the music, Rico Nasty is gearing up for an exciting tour, supporting Hayley Williams this fall. The dates include appearances at venues like the Forest Hills Stadium in New York and performances at the Chreece Festival in August.
