Remi Wolf drops new single ‘Bottle’ and album ‘Mud’
Remi Wolf Embraces the Chaos: Inside the Grounding Journey of Her New Album Mud
Singer-songwriter Remi Wolf is ready to dive headfirst into a new sonic landscape with the announcement of her third studio album, Mud, set for release on October 9th. This new project signals a profound evolution in her sound, moving her from the high-energy world of her debut to something deeper, more introspective, and beautifully grounded.
The shift in sound is palpable. Where previous works like Juno and Big Ideas offered vibrant energy, Mud embraces a warmer, more spacious atmosphere. It is an album rooted in organic storytelling and rich live instrumentation, offering listeners a chance to breathe and explore complexity.
The creation of this album was not rushed; it was a deliberate period of reflection. Following years of nonstop touring alongside global superstars like Olivia Rodrigo and Lorde, Wolf sought a space to recharge her creative batteries. This journey led her to Nashville and a restorative retreat in Big Bear, California, where she spent time collaborating with a close circle of friends and musicians.
It was in this environment that the raw energy of the album was forged. Wolf described the process as intensely transformative. “I feel like I’ve crossed into a new phase of life because of this album,” she shared. “I literally felt like I was covered in sh-t. And now, at the end of the album process, I feel so clean and clear. It has been a very cleansing record to make for me.”
This duality—the messy, chaotic experience of creation followed by a feeling of profound clarity—is the heart of Mud. The record doesn’t just sound different; it carries the weight and the warmth of that intense period of self-discovery.
The resulting 11-track project is a compelling journey, featuring tracks such as “Bottle,” “Champagne,” and “Twiggy,” alongside deeper cuts like “Covered In Mud” and “Moon So High.” The full tracklist includes: Bottle, Champagne, Twiggy, Burn Me Blue, Jamie, Covered In Mud, Moon So High, I Won’t Cry, Wine Drunk, Guess, and Yellow Rose.
Adding to the momentum, Wolf will also be releasing her next single, “Bottle,” on August 20th, giving fans another taste of the evolving sound she is bringing to music.
