Jamie T confirmed for secret 33 minute set Reading 2026
Indie legend Jamie T has just dropped a bombshell, confirming a surprise appearance at the Reading Festival 2026, and he managed to negotiate the exact length of his set.
The request came via social media, where T asked the festival organisers if he could be added to the line-up at the “last minute.” He wasn’t asking for a lengthy performance, but a precise 33 minutes and 10 seconds—a nod to his recent single ‘3310’, which serves as the first taste of his new album, Ghosts (100 Days of Morning).
Now, the request has been granted. Jamie T will be opening the main stage, which has recently been renamed The Grid, at Reading Festival tomorrow, Friday, August 27, at 12pm. Crucially, he will not be making an appearance at the Leeds Festival.
The set is slated to be pretty brutal. Frontman Mike Kerr revealed that the performance will be only 45 minutes long to allow for the relentless, heavy songs that define the show’s theme.
The excitement around T’s appearance comes after a recent sold-out secret performance at London’s Scala, where he played at the venue for the first time in two years, previewing unreleased tracks from his new work.
Adding to the excitement, another secret set is confirmed for the festival, with the Brighton duo Royal Blood taking to The Gallery stage. Their performance will feature their intense comeback single ‘Ten Over Ten’, as they prepare to launch their fifth album, Dead Company.
The festival line-up is already shaping up to be massive. Kasabian is set to headline the Leeds edition, while other major acts like Charli XCX, Florence + The Machine, Fontaines D.C, Dave, and RAYE will also feature. Other notable names include Skepta, JADE, Kneecap, and Duke Dumont.
Jamie T’s Reading appearance sets the stage for his upcoming seven-date UK headline tour, kicking off on December 7th in Birmingham and including stops in Newcastle, Leeds, Glasgow, and more. Fans are already buzzing for the opportunity to catch the legend live as the festival season kicks into high gear.
