Fans pick JENNIE’s Fallen Angel as This Week’s New Music

JENNIE is soaring! Her latest solo collection, Fallen Angel, has claimed the top spot in this week’s new music poll, demonstrating massive appeal and setting a new benchmark for contemporary music.

Listeners eagerly voted on the poll published by Billboard on August 28th, choosing the BLACKPINK star’s new EP as their favorite new music. With over 82% of the vote, Fallen Angel proved that the EP is more than just a release—it’s a cultural phenomenon.

Fallen Angel marks a significant moment for JENNIE, serving as her first solo collection since her full-length solo debut last year. The project is anchored by compelling tracks, including the standout single “Less Than a Lover,” which beautifully introduces the emotional depth of the work.

The initial rollout immediately captivated fans. The digital EP featured the powerful tracks “Less Than a Lover” and “Fallen Angel,” complemented by a third new song, “Heaven,” all released simultaneously across streaming services.

The title track is steeped in evocative lyrics, capturing a sense of longing and destiny. JENNIE sings about the complexities of fate and connection in the song, asking, “Hey, can’t you stay?/ Don’t leave a fallen angel out here on her own/ Find a place/ Wherever we land is where we turn into a home.”

Beyond the streaming success, the anticipation for the physical release is building. The Fallen Angel CD will feature a full six-song experience, including three additional tracks that are exclusive to the physical format: “Sweettooth,” “Lockitdown,” and “Face.” Fans can preorder this deluxe edition directly from JENNIE’s webstore, with shipments expected to begin on October 30th.

The success of Fallen Angel places JENNIE among a competitive lineup of emerging artists. Other releases vying for attention this week included Olivia Rodrigo’s “Serena Joy,” Ky-Mani Marley’s “Love and Energy,” Alex Warren’s “WILDCHILD,” and Alabama Shakes’ “I Must Be Dreaming.”
