This is the story of Stephen Wilkinson, of Bibio, and Oliver Johnson, of Dorian Concept, two artists whose paths have crossed over the years, culminating in a compelling new musical venture.
While their connection spans more than fifteen years, the spark that ignited their creative partnership arrived a few years ago. Everything changed when Wilkinson discovered Johnson’s 2022 video, “Let It All Go”, which provided the perfect catalyst for them to explore a shared sonic landscape.
From that moment, the duo began weaving their talents together on an ambitious audio-visual project, aptly named Bibio & Dorian Concept. This collaboration is more than just a project; it is a unique merging of perspectives, translating shared history and disparate visions into cohesive art.
The fruits of this partnership are now ready for the world. Yesterday, Wilkinson and Johnson announced the debut album Answers, which arrived on October 16th via Warp.
