Thunder Queens announce new album Deep Below and share title track

London, ON-via-Toronto teen rock trio Thunder Queens is ready to deliver a dose of raw emotion with their sophomore album, Deep Below. Set to arrive on September 24th via Victory Pool, the new release promises an exploration of connection and the complicated nature of vulnerability.

The excitement surrounding the album was amplified by a preview of the title track, a piece meticulously produced by Dave Schiffman (known for his work with bands like the Smashing Pumpkins, PUP, and Vampire Weekend). Recorded this past spring at Toronto’s Dreamhouse Studios, the song sets the stage for the themes that permeate Deep Below.

Beyond the music itself, the project is enhanced by a cinematic music video, directed by Genevieve LeFeuvre and Brandon Emeny, which brings the album’s message to life visually. It’s more than just notes and lyrics; it’s an experience crafted to resonate deeply with listeners.

“Deep Below” was written to show others that they are not alone, and that even though we all follow unique paths, we are fundamentally connected through vulnerability,” shared bassist Clara Magnan in a recent release. The album acts as a powerful mirror for shared human experience.

Vocalist Lola Good elaborated on the emotional core of the record, reflecting on the journey of change and acceptance. “The song is about realizing something is changing, and how letting go can feel impossible until you finally understand that holding on is hurting you too,” she explained.

As Thunder Queens gear up for this new chapter, they are already connecting with audiences through live performance. This summer, the trio is supporting Cancer Bats on tour, but they are also set to take center stage with their own headlining shows—dates are still being finalized and announced.

Fans eager to experience this vulnerability in person can mark their calendars for upcoming dates. The band has a packed schedule including appearances in Mississauga, Paris, Quebec City, Montreal, and various spots across Ontario throughout the summer and fall of 2026, alongside dates supporting Cancer Bats in Barrie and Windsor.
