Talking Heads Reunite for New SiriusXM Channel Launch
After a year of separation, the iconic band Talking Heads is set to reunite for a special event celebrating the launch of their own dedicated SiriusXM pop-up channel. This gathering brings together the core members to share stories and insights ahead of the new platform’s debut.
The conversation will feature the legendary quartet: David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison, joined by host Este Haim. This intimate chat will take place at SiriusXM‘s New York studios on September 28 at 7 p.m.
Beyond the live conversation, the celebration extends into the airwaves. Talking Heads Radio will officially launch on SiriusXM‘s Channel 145, broadcasting music from the band and their various side projects, complete with deep cuts, exclusive stories, and commentary throughout the month of October.
The reunion is particularly poignant given the band’s history, including their tumultuous 1991 breakup. Yet, their continued collaboration speaks to a deep, enduring creative bond. They have already shared the stage in recent years, most recently appearing together on an episode of Jeopardy! to present their own category in 2024.
The excitement continues into the autumn as the focus turns to David Byrne, who is currently embarking on a tour to promote his upcoming book, Sleeping Beauties. This new chapter in his creative journey promises many new stories for the reunited group to explore.
