The world of music hit a sudden pause this week following news from singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers. Plans for an intimate UK album launch and concert series were abruptly cancelled as Bridgers dealt with a sudden bout of illness.

“Everything in the UK this week will have to move but I’ll make it up to you!!!!” she wrote, sending a message of well wishes amidst her recovery.
The sudden need for a pause meant that the planned celebration of ‘Lost Weekend’ had to be put on hold. While the concerts were cancelled, the work of rescheduling was already underway, with Banquet Records working closely with Bridgers’ global teams to arrange alternative performances.
The illness, appendicitis, is a serious condition that requires urgent hospital treatment, reminding everyone of the need for time and space for recovery.
Despite the unexpected detour, the artistic momentum surrounding Bridgers remains strong. Her album ‘Lost Weekend’ was already lauded, earning a glowing review from NME, which called it “a staggering, strange and stirring opus.” The album was also hailed as “an absolute triumph in every way” by collaborator and pop giant Taylor Swift.
The focus now shifts to Bridgers’ recovery and her upcoming plans. She is preparing for the North American leg of her ‘Lost Tour’, with further UK and European stops planned for November and December.
