Faith No More Live Sets since 2016
The wait is finally over for some of rock’s most enduring and delightfully chaotic acts. After years of anticipation, Faith No More has officially confirmed their first live performances in more than eleven years, marking a long-awaited return to the stage.
The veteran Bay Area outfit announced their comeback by confirming stadium dates planned for January and February 2027, supporting the acclaimed System of a Down across Australia and New Zealand. This reunion is steeped in history, as these concerts represent the first live shows for the group since August 2016. As frontman Mike Patton wryly summed up the excitement with a simple statement—“It’s been a minute”—the mood was clear: the time for a sonic journey had finally arrived.
This global touring agreement is powered by some serious industry connections. Faith No More has teamed up with heavyweight Brazilian promoter 30e, setting the stage for their road trip alongside System of a Down. This partnership makes perfect sense, given the strong musical synergy and economic alignment between the two groups, further cemented by the fact that System of a Down’s frontman, Serj Tankian, also resides in New Zealand.
The path back to the stage wasn’t entirely smooth. The group had previously aimed for a reunion in 2021 with Patton’s other project, Mr. Bungle, but those dates were canceled, allowing the members time to focus on personal well-being. That pause gave way to celebrating their rich history, especially the 37th anniversary of The Real Thing, the landmark 1989 album that transformed them from cult favorites into a multi-genre phenomenon.
The journey back involves major city stops across the continent: January 22 in Sydney (Accor Stadium), January 27 in Melbourne (Marvel Stadium), February 1 in Brisbane, Australia (Suncorp Stadium), and February 7 in Wellington, New Zealand (Sky Stadium). These dates signal an ambitious itinerary for rock royalty.
