Faith No More announces first shows in 11 years

After a long period of anticipation, the legendary band Faith no More has officially announced their return to the stage, kicking off a new era of live performances after more than eleven years.

The announcement brought some excitement, as the group shared that it has indeed been a minute. They are now embarking on their first live shows, joining forces with System of a Down across Australia and New Zealand in early 2027.

This unexpected pairing feels entirely fitting, especially considering the history between the two groups. Faith no More signed a global touring deal with Brazilian promoter 30e, which aligns beautifully with similar arrangements made by System of a Down.

The road to this reunion was punctuated by previous plans that ultimately fell through. In 2021, the idea of reuniting with Mr Bungle—Mike Patton’s other celebrated band—was on the table. However, those dates were ultimately canceled. At the time, frontman Mike Patton explained that due to mental health reasons exacerbated by the pandemic, he was unable to continue with the scheduled Faith no More and Mr Bungle performances.

Now, however, it is time to focus on the present. While some planned collaborations had to take a backseat, this new venture allows for a fresh start for the members, bringing the unique sound of Faith no More back to audiences in a brand new configuration.

Fans can look forward to seeing the magic unfold as the band hits major cities across the continent. The initial dates are set to provide an electrifying experience:

February 1 in Brisbane, performing with System of a Down

February 7 in Wellington, performing with System of a Down
