Bruce Springsteen and Bleachers join for ‘Jersey Girl’ and ‘Chinatown’ in Asbury Park
The magic of musical history often finds its most vibrant expression in unexpected collaborations. Recently, rock legend Bruce Springsteen joined the dynamic band Bleachers onstage to deliver a powerful performance of ‘Jersey Girl‘ and ‘Chinatown,’ reminding audiences that some songs transcend genre and time.

Back in late 2020, the two New Jersey acts recorded a stripped-back version of ‘Chinatown‘ together, taking the performance to the roof of Electric Lady Studios in New York City. That acoustic moment set the stage for many future connections between the artists.
Since then, the duo has continued to weave their stories through music. They performed ‘Chinatown‘ together once before its fully electric form in 2022, and now they are reuniting for a shared performance during Bleachers’ hometown show at the Shadow of the City Festival.
The connection between the artists is not just musical; it’s deeply personal. Jack Antonoff reflected on the joy of these reunions, emphasizing the importance of playing in places that hold meaning and being supported by family and friends. He recently shared that his wife and fellow E Street Band musician Patti Scialfa is in remission from cancer, marking a significant moment for the family. Scialfa had been living with multiple myeloma for over eight years, and her remission brings a much-needed sense of peace.
Meanwhile, Bleachers is gearing up for an exciting global expansion. Following the release of their new album Everyone For 10 Minutes in May, they are preparing to embark on their biggest Europe and UK headline tour this November. The journey will see them kick off proceedings in Milan before hitting cities across Europe and the UK, culminating in a performance in London.
