Beck soars on ethereal new single Disappearing Act
Beck is back, and this time he’s bringing a feeling of tranquil introspection with his latest single, ‘Disappearing Act’. This ethereal acoustic offering serves as a captivating preview of his forthcoming 15th studio album, ‘Ride Lonesome’, set for release on September 18th via Capitol.

For ‘Ride Lonesome’, Beck has reunited with the original touring and recording band from his classic records, including Smokey Hormel, Joey Waronker, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Roger Joseph Manning Jr., and Jason Falkner. They gathered in Beck’s favorite studio, Room B at United Studios in Hollywood, to craft this new sound, allowing the playing and chemistry to evolve and deepen over the decades.
This reunion isn’t just about revisiting old sounds; it’s about finding new emotional textures. While exploring familiar musical and physical spaces, the group discovered fresh sounds and profound emotional depth, forging a sound that truly reflects decades of shared experience.
