Weezer ‘The Gathering’ world tour dates announced for 2026/27

The world of rock is buzzing with news from Los Angeles, where the LA band Weezer is gearing up for an epic global adventure. Following the release of their celebrated 20th studio record, ‘The Gold Album’, the group has officially announced a sprawling world tour spanning 2026 and 2027.

Dubbed ‘The Gathering,’ this tour promises to take fans across the globe, hitting major markets in the UK, Europe, North America, and Japan. The journey kicks off this autumn with a dedicated North American leg in September and October 2026, where the band will play cities from San Francisco and Los Angeles to Chicago and New York.

The tour is set to feature supporting acts, including The Shins and Silversun Pickups at select dates.

Once the North American run concludes, Weezer heads east to celebrate in Japan in February 2027, with two concerts scheduled in Tokyo, alongside stops in Kyoto, Osaka, and Nagoya.

The European leg promises a fantastic run starting in May. The tour kicks off in Dublin at the 3Arena on May 12th, followed by major stops across the continent. Dates are lined up in Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Birmingham, and London, culminating in a massive performance at Alexandra Palace in London on May 22nd.

After concluding their mainland European tour, the band will continue their journey through key cities like Paris, Amsterdam, Oslo, Stockholm, and Helsinki, beginning the year with a show in Helsinki in June.

For those planning to catch the action, tickets are going on general sale soon. Fans in the UK and Europe can purchase tickets starting August 14th, while those in Japan will be able to access their tickets starting September 5th.

Meanwhile, Weezer is also keeping the momentum going with new music. They have recently released a single titled ‘C.E.O.‘, featuring stars like Tony Hawk and Curry Barker, which continues their journey of sharing feel-good melodies following recent tracks such as ‘Shine Again’ and the poignant single ‘We Might as Well be Strangers’.

Reflecting on the creative process that led to their recent work, frontman Rivers Cuomo shared some insights. When discussing the recording of their debut album, he recalled how intimate the experience was: “The one thing that struck me was how physically close we all were, not just the four of us, but there was a whole crowd of young men, packed into very small apartments in a very small part of Los Angeles,” he noted.

Cuomo added that he felt their debut album was incredible. “When we released the ‘Blue’ album, I definitely felt like it was the greatest album of all time,” he said. “I assumed other people would feel the same way.”
