The Game is Set: The Celebrity Traitors Season Two Returns

Get ready to put your trust to the ultimate test, because The Celebrity Traitors is back and bringing the high-stakes drama and deliciously devious gameplay to television. The highly anticipated second season is set to premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Thursday, October 1st, at 8pm BST, airing two nights a week on Thursday and Friday evenings.

This return follows a massive run, with the show previously being hailed as “reality TV at its most gleefully devious”, culminating in a dramatic finale where comedian Alan Carr clinched the Memorable Moment prize at the BAFTA TV Awards.

The heart of the new season revolves around a razor-sharp twist, as viewers will finally discover how host Claudia Winkleman chooses her Traitors in the new format, Traitor Or Faithful? Claudia Decides. The players will face intense pressure, questioning who they can and can’t trust, battling it out to banish others, and trying to uncover which among them is plotting murder under the cover of darkness.

The stakes are high: contestants will strive to win a substantial cash prize for a charity of their choice, all while navigating the perilous landscape of loyalty and deceit.

The line-up for this season is an absolute feast of talent, featuring some of the UK’s biggest names. Among the contestants are Richard E Grant, who brings the gravitas of Michael Sheen; Bella Ramsey, star of The Last Of Us; and industry insiders like Myha’la from Industry.

Adding further spice to the competition are comedy heavyweights Miranda Hart and comedian Joe Lycett, alongside reality TV luminaries such as Love Island host Maya Jama. The roster is packed with personalities ready to face the challenge.

The cast is further bolstered by a diverse group of guests, including former Little Mix member Leigh-Anne Pinnock and singer-songwriter James Blunt. Comedians James Acaster, Romesh Ranganathan, Joanne McNally, and Rob Beckett also join the fray.

The group is rounded out by established figures and fascinating personalities, including Jerry Hall, former Coronation Street actor Julie Hesmondhalgh, EastEnders star Ross Kemp, broadcaster Amol Rajan, and actor Sharon Rooney. Completing this intriguing group are mathematician Professor Hannah Fry, content creator King Kenny, and actor Sebastian Croft.

The excitement doesn’t end with the main show. The official video podcast, The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, hosted by Ed Gamble, is also returning to BBC One, BBC iPlayer, and BBC Sounds, offering deeper dives into the drama unfolding.

The show continues to explore the fascinating dynamics of celebrity life, proving that when trust is the prize, the resulting game is nothing short of electrifying. Tune in to see who among the Traitors is plotting the most!
