Watch HALIENE perform her album under Ibiza’s eclipse

When artists seek a stage, they often look for a perfect venue. For HALIENE, that moment arrived in the form of an unforgettable celestial event: a total solar eclipse over Ibiza.

On August 12th, HALIENE and her husband, along with longtime production partner Matthew Steeper, transformed the island into a living canvas for her second album, Eclipsed. They performed the entire record from start to finish as the moon gracefully crossed the setting sun, bathing the Mediterranean in dramatic shadow and light.

This spectacular event marked Ibiza’s first total solar eclipse in more than 120 years, and the performance became a breathtaking cinematic experience. The set ran the full duration of the eclipse, moving seamlessly from the last stretch of full daylight into the profound darkness of totality just above the horizon.

The timing was masterfully orchestrated around the track Eclipsed By You, a collaboration with Ilan Bluestone. As the moon completely covered the sun, the song hit at the precise moment of totality, amplifying the album’s core themes of light, shadow, and the powerful pull between them. Since Ibiza is already famed for its spectacular sunsets, the setting perfectly complemented the mood of the record.

As the cosmic drama unfolded, cameras captured the evolving sky and the shifting mood with every note. The performance showcased tracks like Solar Waves, the recent single Right Love, the Koven collaboration Orbit, and the atmospheric piece Heaven Left A Light On, all playing out in real time as the world darkened.

Eclipsed is now available via Black Hole Recordings. For those who missed the spectacle, the full performance can be viewed, and the album streamed below.
