Washington Monument Wrapping Tour 2026
Rock group Turnstile is preparing to wrap up its 2026 touring activity with a unique and meaningful gesture: a free performance at the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C.
Scheduled for October 24, 2026, at 3 p.m. ET, this event is more than just a concert; it is an opportunity for fans to connect music with humanitarian causes. Attendees are encouraged to make a donation to Human Concern International to support their vital efforts providing food, water, medical care, and shelter to families in need across Palestine, Sudan, and Lebanon.
The initiative demonstrates the band’s commitment to using their platform for global good. Hassan Wadi, the global director for Human Concern International and of Gazan descent, emphasized the profound impact of this collaboration, stating that the support will directly assist those struggling in these regions.
Turnstile’s journey has been marked by dynamic exploration, following a recent Saturday Night Live debut and an extensive tour supporting their 2025 album NEVER ENOUGH and its remix collection, NEVER ENOUGH: VERSIONS.
This commitment to movement is woven into the band’s philosophy. As one of the artists celebrated in 2021, Turnstile embraces the challenge of novelty, finding reward in constantly seeking new experiences. “We always embrace the challenge of doing things that we’ve never done before, because then we never feel like we’re repeating anything and always have the possibility of playing to new people and making new connections, with music leading the way,” the group noted.
This philosophy translates into their touring schedule, where they thrive by not settling in one place but flitting around different opportunities. The band recently played Austin City Limits on October 9, and they are slated to appear at Form Arcosanti in Arizona on Sunday, followed by a performance at Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival in Los Angeles the weekend of November 14.
The choice of the Washington Monument for the concluding show is a natural extension of past free performances Turnstile has staged in their Baltimore hometown, echoing the tradition of D.C. hardcore pioneers like Fugazi who frequently held outdoor daytime gigs in and around the area.
Looking ahead, the band remains focused on expanding their reach. They are already announced as headliners for major European festivals in 2027, including Primavera Sound in Barcelona, and the German festivals Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring.
