Two women accuse former guitarist of abuse
The music world often spins tales of artistic ambition and creative chaos, but sometimes the reality underneath the spotlight is far more unsettling. For Saul Adamczewski, the former guitarist of Fat White Family and frontman of the project Insecure Men, the artistic journey recently collided violently with severe personal accusations.
The turbulence began circulating on social media last week, ignited by claims from two women alleging that Adamczewski had subjected them to physical and emotional abuse. These allegations sparked immediate and intense scrutiny, leading to significant professional repercussions for the musician and his work.
One of the accusations surfaced through a post by a user using the handle @pissyjeanss on Instagram. This post detailed a relationship that resulted in a pregnancy, during which the accuser claimed Adamczewski engaged in violent behavior, including pushing, throwing objects, and theft of personal items, while she was pregnant.
Further evidence emerged when the accuser shared screenshots of direct messages, including one from a woman named Alexandra Scheja, which allegedly detailed extreme acts of violence, such as being folded into a sofa bed.
The claims did not remain isolated to one account. English singer-songwriter Jessica Winter publicly commented on the situation, stating that she had witnessed Adamczewski’s physical and emotional abuse directed toward multiple women and other men. She highlighted the musician’s capacity to threaten and abuse others while seemingly remaining unpunished.
In response to these serious allegations, the label Fat Possum Records took immediate action. They issued a statement confirming that they were taking the accusations against Adamczewski very seriously and announced that they would no longer be working with Insecure Men.
The fallout extended beyond the music industry. Management and the UK publicist for Insecure Men severed ties with Adamczewski, and the project’s Instagram account was subsequently deactivated, effectively halting the momentum of the band.
