The heat is on, and the stage is set for a spectacular return. This August 29 and 30, Toronto’s Leslie Lookout Park is transforming into a sanctuary of sound and creativity as PHANTOMFEST: Open Air celebrates its second edition.

Embracing the powerful theme of Phoenix Rising, this donation-powered underground electronic music and arts festival is back, offering two full days of immersive experiences for the masses. It is more than just a music event; it is a vibrant testament to the power of community and artistic freedom.

At the heart of PHANTOMFEST is a deeply personal mission. Founded by Christina Barron in 2016, the festival has consistently built upon the tradition of free outdoor dance parties, aiming to create spaces where music, art, and dancing can thrive without judgment or financial barriers. Barron’s philosophy is simple and powerful: keeping the festival free ensures that passionate, inspired, and creative spaces are accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial means.

This commitment to inclusivity defines the atmosphere of the festival, making it a unique gathering that fosters genuine connection and shared experience among attendees.

The musical lineup for this year’s event is a stellar collection of talent that embodies the festival’s ethos. Attendees can look forward to performances by celebrated DJs including LeeLee Mishi, Antwon Faulkner, Purrpelle, Barroness, Ataras + BLNCA, Tyler Hill, Chris Campos, Melanie Sutherland, Dick Diamonds, Nikki Atana, Paranoid Jack, Nour, Boots Boogie, Sugar Daddy Moth, and Southpaw Brown.
