Tom Morello releases new LP with Kneecap & exclusive vinyl

The world of rock and protest continues to deliver history lessons wrapped in thunderous riffs. Tom Morello, the legendary guitarist from Rage Against the Machine, is ready to expand his musical manifesto with a brand new solo album, Everyone Gets Everything They Want.

Set to drop on September 25 via Mom + Pop, the new release promises to be a deep dive into themes that resonate far beyond the arena stage. But this time, Morello is weaving personal history and potent political commentary into the fabric of his sound.

Beyond the music itself, the project boasts an impressive roster of collaborators, including Tyler Smyth, Carl Restivo, Zakk Cervini, Dan Carey, and contributions from fellow artists like Serj Tankian of System of a Down, Kneecap, Beartooth, alongside Morello’s son, Roman Morello.

The new collection features tracks like the May single “Adjourn It,” featuring both Serj and Roman, alongside the highly anticipated single “Date Night.” The theme of the latter track delves into a powerful historical narrative concerning three young Dutch girls who risked everything during World War II, acting as spies, saboteurs, and assassins against the Nazis to help Jewish children escape persecution.

Morello’s musical philosophy is always rooted in resistance. He stated that he crafts anti-racist songs for anti-racists, anti-fascist songs for anti-fascists, and anti-Nazi songs for anti-Nazis. “Date Night,” he noted, acts as a powerful moral query: “which side are you on?”

This new album sits comfortably within Morello’s ongoing journey, which has recently included a tour with Bruce Springsteen and appearances at major events like the Newport Folk Festival. As his next chapter unfolds, Morello remains committed to pushing boundaries, continuing to challenge listeners with music that demands accountability.
