After a decade of focusing on his band, The Killers, frontman Brandon Flowers is embarking on an exciting solo journey with the release of his third studio album, THRASHER. This new work is set to arrive on August 21 via Island Records, marking a significant moment for the artist who is seemingly embracing a deep appreciation for American musical heritage.
The creative process for THRASHER took place in Nashville’s RCA Studio A, where Flowers worked with producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado. The album’s rich tapestry was further enriched by contributions from legendary figures including David Rawlings, Bruce Bouton, and Charlie McCoy, weaving traditional sounds into a modern sonic landscape.
Flowers reflected on this musical exploration, noting that as he’s gotten older, he has found his way back to the music of his father—what he referred to as “Country-Western”—discovering that the stories he carries feel most at home in this beautiful American tradition. This personal connection clearly fuels the authentic spirit of the new record.
The album promises a compelling collection of songs, featuring titles such as “Plans,” “Tiger’s Blood,” “Paradise,” and “An American Dream,” alongside tracks like “Does It Ever Cross Your Mind?” and “In A Heartbeat.” The follow-up begins with the single “Plans,” which will be released on June 26.
The excitement surrounding the album is set to translate into an extensive live experience. Flowers is launching a solo tour, kicking off with a North American leg that begins on September 1st in Phoenix and wraps up in Las Vegas on October 6th. Fans will have the chance to catch him live across numerous cities, including major stops like Los Angeles, Oakland, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, and international dates reaching London and Manchester.
The tour schedule features performances at venues ranging from smaller theaters like The Van Buren in Phoenix to major arenas, offering diverse musical experiences throughout the autumn. Tickets for these dates are going on sale soon, providing fans with an opportunity to experience Flowers’ latest work and his deep connection to American storytelling live on stage.
