While driving south on I-95 with her youngest daughter in July, she encountered a group of teenagers whose vehicle had hydroplaned in a heavy rainstorm. Amidst this difficult journey, Swift demonstrated her support by donating 50,000 dollars to a GoFundMe campaign supporting Taunton and her family. This generous contribution became the largest single donation to the fundraiser, which had already amassed more than $64,000 as of late August.
Swift’s gesture was personal, extending more than just financial aid. She shared a heartfelt message of encouragement with Taunton in the campaign comments, sending love and wishing her the best possible recovery.
