Tate McRae hits No 1 in Australia with Housewife

The global music scene is currently buzzing with chart-topping releases and electrifying collaborations, proving that creativity and catchy hooks continue to dominate the airwaves. From massive pop breakthroughs to epic electronic soundscapes and rock anthems, artists are setting new records and redefining the charts across Australia and beyond.

Pop sensation Tate McRae is currently owning the charts, with her single Housewife hitting No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart in Australia. This achievement marks her sixth top 10 appearance on the chart, building momentum for her forthcoming fourth album.

Meanwhile, the pop landscape continues its high-energy climb. Olivia Rodrigo’s track Expectations has soared, reaching a staggering 78-2, thanks in part to a highly anticipated new version featuring Chappell Roan. This release solidifies Rodrigo’s status, giving her 15 top 10 appearances on the ARIA Chart.

In the electronic sphere, French duo Justice is making serious waves with their release Flower In A Hurricane. The track features a stellar lineup, including Grammy-winning acts Tame Impala and SZA, alongside King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Adding an extra layer of intrigue, the song was composed for Grand Theft Auto VI, and Justice’s collaboration with Tame Impala delivered their Grammy-winning hit Neverender, showcasing a powerful musical synergy.

The rock world is equally vibrant. Irish modern rock act Fontaines D.C. has secured their spot at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart with their fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber. The band has established a consistent presence in the charts, with albums like A Hero’s Death, Skinty Fia, and Romance also charting high.

On the country front, Zach Bryan is charting strongly, opening his new EP, Young Manhood And Other Donatable Organs, at No. 4. His lead track, “Lies,” featuring Lana Del Rey, is already earning attention, setting the stage for his upcoming eight-date east coast tour in December.

Melbourne electronic favorites The Avalanches are also enjoying success, with their album No Bad Memories climbing to No. 5 on the ARIA Albums Chart, following earlier hits like Wildflower.

The Australian indie-rock outfit The Rubens have demonstrated sustained success, achieving six top 10 appearances in a row with their debut independent album, Group Therapy, which sits at No. 6.

Meanwhile, established voices continue to shine. ARIA Hall of Fame singer and songwriter Tina Arena returns to the spotlight with her 14th release, Way Of The World, which lands at No. 11. This release is bolstered by the recent television premiere of Tina Arena: Unravel Me, adding further momentum to her career.

A variety of new album releases are also impacting the ARIA Top 50 Albums Chart, featuring strong performances from artists like Ashe with The Girl Of Your Dreams, Ziggy Alberts with Twin Flames, and Rachel Chinouriri with I Think I Spoke Too Soon, highlighting the diverse and dynamic nature of contemporary music.
