Her journey began in 2000 when, at just nineteen years old, she launched her career with the debut album No Light In August. Released on Mr. Lady Records, this collection of intimate folk-punk songs immediately carved out a space for herself, blending raw emotion with catchy melodies.
Hart’s early impact extended beyond her studio; she wasn’t just an artist, but a touring force. She shared the stage with iconic acts like Sleater-Kinney and the Indigo Girls, cementing her place within a vibrant, diverse musical community.
