  • Living Weapon (members of Vein.fm & Fleshwater) announce debut LP, share “The Leaving Process”

The heavy sound of metalcore and mathcore is getting a fresh coat of paint, as the band Living Weapon unveils their long-awaited debut full-length album, Death in the Family.

Fronted by bassist and backing vocalist Jonathan Lhaubouet, Living Weapon is bringing a potent blend of intricate rhythms and aggressive delivery to listeners. This new body of work marks a significant step for the group, showcasing their evolution as they move from their earlier releases into heavier, more complex territory.

The creation of Death in the Family was a collaborative effort, with guitarist Jeremy Martin taking the reins not only for the raw musical vision but also overseeing the production and engineering. This partnership ensures that the album captures the uncompromising energy that defines Living Weapon‘s sound.

The anticipation for the release has been building since their debut EP, Paradise, dropped in 2021. That initial release successfully introduced the band to a wider audience, setting the stage for the ambitious material packed into this new album.

The expanded lineup behind Living Weapon adds depth and diversity to their musical tapestry. Joined by Anthony DiDio and Josian Soto-Ramos, the group now features a robust collective, alongside long-standing member Justin Legere on bass.

Fans eager to dive into the album can begin streaming Death in the Family digitally starting August 14th. Physical copies of the record will follow later in September, allowing dedicated fans to own the music in their hands.

The tracklist promises a journey through intense musical landscapes, featuring tracks such as The First Element, Metastasis, and the evocative When No Light Compared, offering a full spectrum of their unique songwriting.
