    The music world is buzzing with movement and momentum, featuring everything from landmark anniversaries to explosive new album announcements and cross-genre collaborations. Across the landscape, artists are hitting the road, bringing their unique sounds to audiences nationwide.

    A great highlight on the horizon is the 40th anniversary tour for Scottish indie duo The Vaselines, set to kick off in 2027. While they have already played UK dates in March, fans are eagerly anticipating their expansion into North America, marking a significant milestone for this celebrated group.

    The rhythm of rock and psych is currently running strong, driven by major releases and exciting summer tours. Dinosaur Jr. has recently dropped their new album There Near, fueling a busy schedule that includes touring with Band of Horses and headline dates this fall. Meanwhile, the sound continues to evolve with Radiator Hospital hitting the road through the summer and fall, featuring runs alongside Smoking Popes, Dusk, and Noun.

    The cross-pollination between artists is also heating up. Peter Sagar has announced a Homeshake tour supporting The Marías’ Josh Conway, with dates already lined up in major cities like New York City, including Webster Hall on September 29th.

    Adding further texture to the touring scene are bands like Earth Tongue, a heavy psych duo from New Zealand, who are taking their sound across the country. They will be playing major festivals this summer, including Levitation and King Gizzard’s Field of Vision, and they are also making stops in places like Elsewhere on September 3rd with Khenmmis and Monolord.

    Beyond the major concert circuits, there’s a vibrant underground scene bubbling up. This weekend, Hell’s Gate is throwing a series of free parties at Rippers in Rockaway Beach, featuring acts like Steve Gunn, Wendy Eisenberg, and Evan Wright on Friday, July 10th, alongside Discovery Zone, Quemarlo, Todo Por Error, Foyer Red, and Pets on Saturday, July 11th.

    It’s clear that the current musical landscape is rich with history, fresh sounds, and exciting collaborations, ensuring there is plenty of music to explore whether you’re tracking major tours or diving into local events.

  • beabadoobee Details Star-Studded ‘Pylon’ LP

    In a move that proves some creative connections are simply meant to be, beabadoobee and The Marías recently delivered a dreamy single, “All I Did Was Dream of You.” But the creative momentum doesn’t stop there, as singer/songwriter Beatrice Laus is ready to open a brand new chapter in her story.

    Laus is gearing up for her fourth album, Pylon, which is set to drop on September 18th via Dirty Hit and Interscope. Following the success of 2024’s U.K. chart-topper This Is How Tomorrow Moves, this new record promises a sonic evolution, previewed by the latest single “Sun Has Set” and a compelling first-person video directed by longtime visual collaborator Jake Erland.

    The concept behind the album title, Pylon, draws inspiration from the towering electrical structures that crisscross the globe. For Laus, these lines evolved into a powerful symbol—a tether to home amidst the isolation experienced while on the road. The pylons served as a reminder of family and friends even as touring created a sense of disconnect, ultimately inspiring the album’s jagged, forceful identity.

    Musically, Pylon deepens Laus’ established love for rock music while inviting an eclectic lineup of alternative talent. The track “Nothing To Prove” features Paramore’s Hayley Williams, delivering an anthem about reclaiming power from temporary friendships. Brendan Yates of Turnstile lends his voice to the brooding “Powerlines,” while guests include Pinegrove’s Evan Stephens Hall, Deftones’ Chino Moreno, and Title Fight’s Shane Moran. Adding to the creative tapestry, Matty Healy and George Daniel of the 1975 contributed production work on the track “Write Me a Letter.”

    This new material is set to hit the road with the Powerlines tour this fall, marking Laus’ first arena trek and biggest headlining run to date. Beginning October 1st, the journey will take her to massive venues including Madison Square Garden in New York, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, and London’s O2. The tour is supported by Wisp and Violet Grohl across North America, Canada, and the U.K., with Violet Grohl joining the European leg.

    Fans can secure tickets through a presale beginning June 29th, with general tickets available July 2nd. Get ready for an experience that is both deeply personal and explosively loud.
