  • Maren Morris Says She’s Taking a Break From Touring, Wants to Write for Broadway

Country-pop sensation Maren Morris is hitting the pause button on the road, opting to prioritize family time and creative pursuits over a full-blown tour schedule. After years of performing, the 36-year-old star is embracing a period of reflection, finding that stepping away from the constant demands of touring allows her to focus on what truly matters: songwriting and connecting with her son.

The current dreamGIRL Tour will wrap up soon, concluding August 15th with a performance at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium. This brief run provides a welcome respite, giving Morris the breathing room she needs to recalibrate her career on her own terms.

“This is sort of my last tour for a bit,” Morris shared during a recent interview, detailing her desire to dedicate more time to the studio and free-thinking about what comes next in her musical journey. With a decade spent on the road, she realized that true creativity requires carving out space, not just fitting it in between shows.

Beyond the immediate goal of finding creative space, Morris is looking toward ambitious new horizons. While settling into home life with her family, her sights are set on larger storytelling mediums. She has already begun branching out, co-writing material for DreamWorks Animation’s The Wild Robot in 2024 and dreaming of writing music for a Broadway production.

“I feel like Broadway is just a storytelling medium and you get more time,” Morris explained. “I would love to do something like that, write for a musical.”

Her previous work continues to speak to her journey; her debut album, HERO: A Second Wind, which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and featured the hit single “My Church,” established her presence. The album included newly recorded tracks like “Hard Liquor and Soft Rock” and “We Can’t Be Friends.”

More recently, Morris released her studio album Dreamsicle in 2025, showcasing her evolving artistic vision. It is clear that while the stage remains a powerful outlet, Maren Morris is ready to channel her energy into deeper creative exploration and meaningful storytelling as she navigates this exciting new chapter.

  • Maren Morris Reveals Custom Gift From Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding

The world watched as music royalty Taylor Swift and football star Travis Kelce tied the knot at a truly legendary event, and it wasn’t just a wedding—it was a spectacle filled with celebrity charm and musical magic.

Following their star-studded ceremony at Madison Square Garden on July 3rd, the celebration quickly moved from a private affair to a shared moment for their friends and fans. One of the standout participants in this behind-the-scenes look was singer Maren Morris, who took to social media to share exclusive photos from the highly exclusive celebration.

Morris’s post featured glamorous shots of herself alongside fellow country star Kelsea Ballerini, further highlighting the glittering assembly of friends and stars who attended the event. The details shared were dripping with personality, ranging from fashion choices to musical nods.

A particular detail that caught the eye was a custom white lace handkerchief, seemingly presented as a wedding favor to guests. This keepsake featured the couple’s intertwined “TT” monogram alongside the ceremony date and location stitched in cursive. Embedded within the design were lyrics from Taylor Swift’s chart-topping album 1989, specifically quoting “So it’s gonna be forever…” from “Blank Space.”

Fellow attendee Kelsea Ballerini added a witty comment to the post, suggesting that the keepsake was a perfect blend of romance and music. She even joked, “Insert love story lyrics and wine drunk lyrics,” perfectly capturing the celebratory vibe.

The celebration also featured musical tributes that elevated the mood further. Stevie Nicks delivered a memorable performance during the wedding, adding another layer of legendary flair to the festivities. Adding to the atmosphere, actor-comedian Adam Sandler stepped in as the officiant and performed a humorous yet heartfelt original song celebrating the happy couple.

The couple opted for an intimate celebration among their inner circle, foregoing traditional bridal parties. Instead, Taylor Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, served as her man of honor, while Jason Kelce took on the role of best man—a perfect reflection of their dynamic relationship.

The guest list itself was a veritable constellation of pop and country icons. Celebrities spotted arriving at the venue included Jack Antonoff, Mariska Hargitay, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Benson Boone, and Camila Cabello, ensuring the event was packed with dazzling personalities.
