Supergrass expands 2027 UK tour dates due to demand

The roar of the crowd is getting louder, and the anticipation for Supergrass’s upcoming UK tour is hitting a fever pitch. Following an undeniable surge in demand, the Oxford-based band has made some exciting adjustments to their schedule, promising fans a deeper dive into their legendary catalogue.

Gaz Coombes and the band announced that they are going to pull out the hits and deep cuts for the upcoming shows, marking a special milestone for the group. This tour isn’t just a run of concerts; it’s a chance to revisit the sounds that defined a generation of British music, especially in the wake of their celebrated 2025 ‘I Should Coco’ 30th anniversary jaunt.

Initially, the tour had been planned across nine dates in April and May, hitting major cities from Newcastle and Glasgow to London and Portsmouth. But as ticket demand exploded, the band decided to throw in some extra magic, ensuring fans get more of the experience they crave.

To satisfy this phenomenal appetite, Supergrass added three extra gigs to the itinerary. These bonus shows will offer fans more opportunities to experience the band’s unique blend of Britpop history and raw energy. New dates have been slotted in Glasgow on April 28, Manchester on May 2, and London on May 8.

The excitement over these expanded dates quickly translated into action. Tickets for the full tour went on general sale, proving that the demand for Supergrass’s live performance remains incredibly high. Fans are now gearing up for a tour packed with nostalgia and essential tracks.

When reflecting on the tour, frontman Coombes shared that the focus is squarely on the music itself. Rather than recording new material, the band is embracing the chance to celebrate their history. “We’re going to have some fun going through the records, pulling out even more of them hits and deep cuts for your ears,” he stated, inviting everyone to bring their favorite memories along.

This approach perfectly captures the band’s ethos. While the road ahead is thrilling, the immediate goal is pure celebration. As Supergrass prepares to bring their storied sound back to the stage, the focus remains on delivering the joy and the history that has made them a touchstones of British music.
