Slayyyter cancels UK and Europe tour due to illness

The world of pop music hit a sudden pause this week following news from US artist Slayyyter. Despite building momentum for her latest work, the artist has announced the cancellation of the remainder of her 2026 UK and European tour due to health reasons.

The decision comes at a challenging time for Slayyyter, who was enjoying a period of significant activity supporting her third studio album, ‘Wor$t Girl In America’. While the excitement surrounding her music remains high, the priority now shifts entirely to recovery.

In a candid post on Instagram Stories, Slayyyter shared the difficult news, explaining that multiple doctor visits have resulted in a diagnosis of laryngitis and vocal cord tears, necessitating immediate vocal rest for at least two weeks. Her message was clear: she had to prioritize her voice to avoid permanent damage.

“Hey guys. I am heartbroken to share after multiple doctor visits I have laryngitis and vocal cord tears and have been ordered to go on medication and full vocal rest for at least two weeks,” Slayyyter wrote.

She further explained that this health mandate forced her to cancel the remaining UK/EU dates, with full refunds available at the point of sale. The reality of the situation was compounded by the fact that this tour represented a massive opportunity in her career, and she was devastated to miss delivering the shows fans had been eagerly anticipating.

The ripple effect of the cancellation extended beyond Slayyyter herself. Support acts, such as French artist Kalika, found themselves stranded across Europe, their gear stuck in transit, leading to a shared sense of dismay among the international music community.

Despite the disappointment, Slayyyter remains optimistic about the future. She confirmed that she and her team are actively working to reschedule the impacted dates for next year, promising to deliver an even bigger and better show when she is fully recovered.

The industry waits with bated breath for updates, hoping to see Slayyyter back on stage soon. For now, the focus is on healing, allowing this talented artist to return to the spotlight in her own time.
