Slash, Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators drop Flying Blind and tour news

The world of rock just got a major update. Slash, featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, have unveiled their latest musical offering, the album Flying Blind, and a sprawling world tour set for 2027 that promises to take them across continents.

This new 12-track record is set to arrive on February 26, released via Gibson. The journey to this new sound was anything but easy. The bulk of the project was largely recorded live with longtime producer Michael ‘Elvis’ Baskette at Studio Barbarosa in Florida, capturing a raw, spontaneous energy that defines the record.

The process itself was lightning fast. The band reportedly completed the full-length project in just about a week, often recording two songs a day while the musicians remained in the same room. It’s this immediate, instinctive connection between Slash on guitar and the rest of the band—including Myles Kennedy on vocals, Todd Kerns on bass, Brent Fitz on drums, and Frank Sidoris on rhythm guitar—that shines through in the music.

Slash described the experience as a “really fun, kind of spontaneous rock ’n’ roll record,” noting that the final result is “very straightforward and down-to-earth and raw.” When discussing the massive title track, he pointed out that the riff emerged quickly during pre-production, developing naturally from a simple concept. He added that the song possessed the right melodic sensibilities and hook to be a single, suggesting that the best music is often found when you stop trying to find a shortcut.

Myles Kennedy echoed this sentiment, focusing on the emotional core of the track, noting that the lyrics explore the theme of seeking happiness and enlightenment, highlighting how often people try to take the easy way out.

The album’s atmosphere is further cemented by the official music video, which was shot on location at the legendary Viper Room in Los Angeles and directed by John Harvatine IV.

The tracklist for Flying Blind features twelve tracks, including powerful pieces such as ‘Avarice And Greed’, ‘Good Time Girl’, ‘Thrill Seeker’, and the centerpiece, ‘Flying Blind’. It concludes with tracks like ‘Rev My Heart’ and ‘Stem the Flow’.

Building on this fresh material, the band is preparing for a massive 2027 world tour. The schedule is ambitious, kicking off in South America before heading across the Americas and Europe.

The tour schedule is packed with dates in April, May, and June, hitting major cities from Santiago and Buenos Aires to Los Angeles, Denver, and across Europe, including Munich, Rome, Stockholm, and London. Fans will see performances ranging from massive venues like the Eventim Apollo in London to festivals and smaller theaters across the continent.

From the stunning opening in South America to the epic stages across Europe and the US, the Flying Blind tour promises to be an unforgettable celebration of rock and roll. Tickets for the 2027 dates go on general sale next Friday, and fans can secure their spots through various official channels.
