Slash, Billy Idol & Legends Rock the Aerosmith Comeback Shows
The air is thick with anticipation, and the rock world is gearing up for an event that sounds less like a concert and more like a seismic collision: Aerosmith’s massive return to the stage.
Long after a planned tour was called off, a legendary band has been waiting, and now, the wait is over. Steven Tyler, the iconic frontman, has teased that their comeback would be a major event, signaling a reunion that promises to shake the foundations of rock history.
The spectacle is set for the Hollywood Bowl, where the headline event will be titled California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends. This isn’t just a nostalgic show; it’s an epic celebration featuring an unbelievable constellation of rock royalty and collaborators.
The guest list is staggering, bringing together a dream team that spans decades of rock and roll. Alongside Aerosmith, the lineup includes The Black Crowes, Run-DMC, Heart, Billy Idol, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan, Eric Church, Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell and bassist Mike Inez, Train singer Pat Monahan, Sammy Hagar, and Tom Morello. The sheer volume of legendary musicians converging on one stage is breathtaking.
Beyond the main act, the production is anchored by a host of titans. They will also feature key figures like producer Don Was as music director, Marcus King, Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens, Godsmack singer Sully Erna, Ozzy Osbourne keyboardist/guitarist Adam Wakeman, and veteran drummer Kenny Aronoff, among many others.
Adding another layer of history to the spectacle is the presence of founding drummer Joey Kramer, who has returned to the fold after stepping away in 2020 due to health issues. This reunion brings back a full classic lineup, including founding member Joey Kramer, who hasn’t played with the group in six years.
While the full lineup and surprise appearances are yet to be revealed, the promise remains: incredible, unforgettable performances. Keep an eye out for details, as the show promises to be a vibrant reminder of the enduring power of rock music.
