School of Rock AllStars Tour supports music education access

The road is calling, and for 162 exceptionally talented young musicians, it’s time to hit the pavement. The School of Rock AllStars Tour is gearing up for a nationwide adventure designed not just to showcase incredible musical talent, but to build unshakable confidence and foster global connections.

Beginning July 20, the tour will unfold across 33 U.S. cities, presenting 34 shows that bring together students from 99 School of Rock locations spanning the globe—including the United States, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, and Australia.

These musicians have reached the pinnacle of achievement, earning AllStar status, which is a rare feat for those who participate in the program. They will be grouped into six dynamic regional touring teams: Gold Rush, Lone Star, Heartland, Music City, Steel Belt, and Wicked East.

The itinerary takes these emerging artists to vibrant independent venues, including spots like Trees in Dallas, Sony Hall in New York City, 3Ten at ACL Live in Austin, Underground Arts in Philadelphia, and The Masquerade in Atlanta. To add another layer of professional exposure, house bands from nearby School of Rock locations will open each performance, giving more students a chance to shine on the professional stage.

This experience is about far more than just playing songs. As School of Rock President Stacey Ryan puts it, “The music is the vehicle, but what they carry with them for the rest of their lives is the confidence and connection.”

The cohort includes students at various stages of musical development. One participant is Logan, a 15-year-old from Vancouver who has already earned AllStar status, having previously performed national anthems before an audience of over 26,000 at a professional soccer match. Another group features Rodrigo, a 15-year-old from Lima, Peru, embarking on his first performance in the United States.

Other stars include Noah, an 18-year-old from Connecticut who will be heading to Berklee College of Music this fall, and 17-year-old Sophia from California, who is returning for her third AllStars tour, following previous collaborations with legends like Victor Wooten and Jacob Collier.

The impact extends beyond the stage. A parent survey commissioned by School of Rock found that 96.2% of respondents observed improved self-confidence in their children. Furthermore, more than 84% reported progress in confidence, communication, and participation in group settings. By pairing this national touring experience with their musical training, the AllStars are learning that live performance is not just the end of a lesson—it’s a masterclass in collaboration, adaptability, and navigating the realities of performing night after night.

The tour also serves a vital charitable purpose, raising funds for the Play Without Limits Project, which provides essential scholarships to students who might not otherwise have access to these transformative programs.
