School Night Toronto Relaunches Free Concerts
Toronto’s free concert series, School Night, is gearing up for an electrifying new chapter, bringing a fresh wave of talent to the city’s vibrant music scene. This month, the series is relaunching, partnering with MODO Live to bring spectacular live music to the Dance Cave.
The venue for this exciting new iteration is the legendary Dance Cave, situated above Lee’s Palace, offering an intimate yet energetic setting for the performances. Fans can look forward to the monthly showcases resuming on October 8, featuring a lineup that promises some seriously compelling sounds.
The inaugural lineup for this new phase includes established names like Isla-Maria, Ley Vara, Jon Kabongo, and Andye. These artists promise an unforgettable night of diverse and dynamic musical experiences.
School Night continues to establish itself as a vital platform for emerging and established talent, a reputation it built during previous showcases featuring artists such as Aysanabee, Bibi Club, Sebastian Gaskin, and Bells Larsen.
The series has proven its appeal by curating exceptional musical events. Previously, School Night collaborated with Exclaim! and the Polaris Music Prize to present a showcase featuring Allison Russell, Janky Bungag, Christine, and Zenesoul, demonstrating its commitment to high-quality, genre-bending music.
The focus remains on making phenomenal music accessible to everyone. Admission to these monthly showcases is completely free, ensuring that Toronto’s music lovers can enjoy world-class performances without financial barriers.
The new School Night format will continue its commitment to variety and quality, hosting events on the second Thursday of each month, proudly hosted by Branko. Get ready for the latest sounds, free of charge, at the Dance Cave.
