Country Splash, the destination festival launched in Cabo San Lucas, decided to redefine the formula by choosing intimacy over scale.
Co-founder Robert Fried envisioned a unique concept: to bring fans up close and personal with their favorite country artists, rather than watching them from a distant LED screen. The mission was simple, and it was a mission accomplished.
The inaugural event, held from September 4th to 6th, transformed a luxury beachfront resort into a peak destination musical experience. By strategically partnering with surrounding hotels, Country Splash created an immersive environment where the music and the setting merged seamlessly.
The lineup was a delightful mix of established stars and emerging talent. Headliners like Tucker Wetmore, Jon Pardi, and Riley Green set the stage for unforgettable performances. The undercard featured a vibrant collection of rising acts, including Dasha, LoCash, and Cameron Whitcomb, all delivering standout sets.
Despite the intense heat of the Mexican sun—peaking at 88 degrees with 67% humidity—the atmosphere remained electric. Attendees experienced a uniquely relaxed vibe, proving that world-class music doesn’t require overwhelming crowds.
Fried focused heavily on creating an atmosphere of ease, capping attendance at 3,000 people to ensure everyone could enjoy the show without feeling overcrowded. The layout prioritized ease of movement between the stage, vendor areas, and bars, with only the palm trees occasionally interrupting the view.
The luxury aspect was central to the experience. Guests could indulge in all-inclusive suites at the Paradisus Cabo San Lucas for as high as $10,000 over four nights, while more budget-conscious attendees could opt for one-day general admission passes starting at just $199.
Beyond the music, Country Splash incorporated a focus on well-being. Attendees enjoyed a wellness element, including a yoga session led by Diplo on Saturday, adding a layer of tranquility to the high-energy celebration.
