Saint Levant postpones tour over visa issues sets new dates for 2027
Palestinian artist and rapper Saint Levant, born Marwan Abdelhamid, is taking a strategic pause, announcing that his highly anticipated North American fall tour has been postponed. The decision stems from unexpected and lengthy “major US visa issues” that have complicated his plans over the past few years.
Instead of canceling entirely, Saint Levant is pivoting, rescheduling his concerts for Spring 2027. This shift, while disappointing to fans who were eagerly awaiting the music, allows the artist to navigate complex legal processes while ensuring his upcoming performances are delivered on time.
“After the initial approval of my visa application to come see you in the US, I’ve been unexpectedly asked to undergo additional background checks, which could take a number of months,” Abdelhamid explained. He shared this update on Instagram, detailing the necessity of the delay.
Speaking with his legal team and consulting with fellow Palestinian and Arab peers who have faced similar bureaucratic hurdles, the team made the difficult but necessary choice to postpone the tour until Spring 2027. It was a choice rooted in ensuring the integrity of the process and the quality of the experience for everyone involved.
Despite the postponement, the excitement for the music remains undimmed. Saint Levant reassured his devoted fanbase that new dates have been added, and all tickets for the rescheduled shows will be honored or refunded upon request. He expressed sincere apologies for the disappointment, emphasizing how much he looked forward to sharing the show.
“I wish I could speak more (one day inshallah). However, we’ve added more shows and all tickets will be honoured for the new dates or refunded upon request. I was really looking forward to see you all, and I can’t wait to share the beautiful show we have been working on in 2027,” he shared.
The new itinerary promises an expansive world tour, bringing the music to diverse cities across North America and beyond. The journey will kick off with major stops including Ottawa, Canada, and London, UK, before hitting key markets like Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, and Miami Beach.
Fans can now look forward to these new dates, which include performances at venues such as History Ottawa, Music Hall, History, The Fillmore, and the Malkin Bowl. The tour will ultimately wrap up with dates in Vancouver, BC, including the Malkin Bowl in May 2027.
