Rosanne Cash delays shows for medical emergency
The road to the next great performance has hit a temporary pause for singer Rosanne Cash, who has postponed a segment of her current U.S. tour following an unexpected medical emergency.
The 71-year-old Grammy-winning artist announced the changes on Monday, sharing an update on her Instagram regarding her recovery. She confirmed that she is currently resting under the supervision of her doctors, who have recommended a temporary restriction on travel and performing.
As a result of this necessary pause, several planned dates across Wyoming and Montana have been pushed back, including shows scheduled in Sheridan, Wyoming, on Tuesday, September 8, and gigs in Billings, Montana, on Wednesday, September 9, and Bozeman, Montana, on Saturday, September 12.
While the specific dates for the rescheduled performances have yet to be finalized, the focus now shifts to her recovery and the planning for the rest of her celebrated career.
Despite the temporary delay, Cash is not taking an extended break. She still has one more scheduled stop on her U.S. swing: a performance on September 19 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the Riceland Hall inside the A-State Fowler Center.
Looking ahead, the singer is slated for a brief respite before embarking on a run of European shows, kicking off on October 15 at the Music Hall Worpswede in Worpswede, Germany.
Her journey continues with one final scheduled date in 2026, a stop at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on November 9.
