Rod Stewart Announces 2027 Final Encore Tour Dates with Big News

After more than six decades spent chasing the rhythm of the road, rock legend Rod Stewart is finally preparing to hang up his boots. At 81, the celebrated singer announced plans to conclude his major touring schedule, marking what promises to be a grand farewell to the stage.

Stewart made the announcement recently, stressing that while this will be his final major tour, he is far from leaving the music behind entirely. “Ladies and gentlemen, after much deliberation and sadness, I have to announce that next year will be my last tour ever, ever,” he shared, inviting his fans to share in the emotion of this milestone.

He framed the upcoming run as “The Final Encore,” a tribute to a life spent singing the music he loves since he was nineteen. This incredible journey, which has taken him around the world, has provided him with a life beyond anything he could have imagined, and he hopes it has offered his audience countless fond memories in return.

The curtain call for his extensive touring career is scheduled to take place across Europe. The European outing will kick off on April 23, 2027, in Dublin, Ireland, and will traverse a breathtaking route, including stops in Belfast, Glasgow, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, and many other iconic cities before concluding in Germany.

However, the road has not always been smooth. The path to this final encore has been punctuated by unexpected challenges. Throughout his career, Stewart has navigated significant medical hurdles that required him to pause and reassess his schedule.

In recent years, the demands of touring have occasionally collided with health issues. In June, Stewart faced a serious moment on stage, requiring him to use an oxygen tank after nearly fainting and doubling over in discomfort. This incident led to the cancellation of a show in San Diego due to an acute upper respiratory infection.

Later in the year, Stewart had to make further adjustments to his itinerary. He subsequently had to wave off two shows due to a minor medical procedure, including a coronary stent procedure. Following this health-related necessity, he required time to recuperate, which regrettably meant cancelling the remaining dates on his North American farewell tour.

These unforeseen medical events complicated the planned schedule, impacting several anticipated gigs across the United States. Despite these interruptions, Stewart demonstrated remarkable resilience, continuing to push forward with his commitment to the music.

From his early days as a member of the British rock band The Faces to his time as the vocalist in the Jeff Beck Group, Rod Stewart has built an extraordinary legacy. Now, as he prepares for his final, magnificent tour, he is not just saying goodbye to a tour; he is celebrating a lifetime of unforgettable performance and enduring artistry.
