RIP Magic Debut Albums 1, 2, 3: Hear “Stadium Drive”
The buzz around London’s genre-blurring quartet, RIP Magic, hasn’t just been building; it has been compounding. Following a fantastic start last year, the group has spent the time since then aggressively cultivating a buzz that has captivated music fans worldwide.
Their momentum has been fueled by some seriously high-profile collaborations. RIP Magic managed to secure the services of the legendary James Murphy to produce their January single, 5words. This collaboration delivered a track that was, quite simply, rad.
But the sonic adventure didn’t stop there. The quartet followed up with two more stellar releases, including the heater Screwdark and the evocative Light Over There, further cementing their reputation as innovators in the music scene.
All this creative energy culminated recently with the long-awaited announcement: the debut album is here. The new release, 1,2,3, is set to capture the full scope of their unique sound, promising an experience that lives up to the hype.
The title track, Stadium Drive, has already begun sparking conversation, and the announcement made waves immediately upon its release on Stereogum.
