Record Store Reveals 2026 Black Friday Slate

Get ready to crank up the needle, because the annual record collecting frenzy is back! Record Store Day has unveiled its lineup for the upcoming Black Friday event, promising a mountain of exclusive and limited edition releases hitting independent record stores on November 27th. This year is packed with sought-after treasures, turning the traditional music shopping trip into a true treasure hunt for collectors.

The giants of rock are leading the charge. The Rolling Stones are delivering their Aftermath on clear vinyl, complete with special package extras. Meanwhile, George Harrison is tempting fans with zoetrope editions of his classic 33 1/3 and his self-titled album. And for a dose of classic outlaw sound, Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band are celebrating their Night Moves with a special 50th-anniversary Third Man pressing.

Diving deeper into the archives, fans can prepare for some truly archival gems. Billy Joel’s Tonight offers a spectacular deep dive into the era surrounding Turnstiles. This 2LP features newly mixed stereo recordings of his legendary Dec. 5, 1976, performance at Connecticut College, bringing the concert to life in a newly restored snapshot of the era.

The legendary Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band are also revisiting the vault with their four-LP set Live at Tower Theater, Philly 1975. This collection captures the band’s iconic New Year’s Eve performance in its full 18-song glory, featuring powerhouse performances of tracks like “Born To Run” and “Jungleland.”

Beyond the major rock acts, the roster is bursting with unique and experimental sounds. King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard are channeling psychedelic science with their live recordings in Bulgaria, Expand Your Mind: Songs in 3D, which is billed as the world’s first 3D zoetrope record complete with 3D glasses. Meanwhile, the Ween family is delighting fans with the long-awaited second volume of their rarities collection, Shinola, packed with beloved tracks like “Kim Smoltz” and “Put Your Boobs On.”

The special releases span the spectrum of music, including special editions of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts’ I Love Rock ’N’ Roll, Stevie Nicks’ Bella Donna, 2Pac’s Pac Life, and New Edition’s Candy Girl. Newer artists are also making waves, with names like KATSEYE, keshi, CORTIS, and SOMBR featured, alongside Holly Humberstone’s take on a Harry Styles song in a special BBC Live Lounge release.

Cross-pollination is a major theme this year, blending music with film and pop culture. Soundtrack lovers can snag a Wicked package bringing together music from both chapters of the movie musical, while KPop Demon Hunters gets a holographic art variant. Even pop stars are involved, as Noah Kahan contributes “Draw You Out” to The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping soundtrack on a colored vinyl 7-inch, and his The Last of the Bugs EP receives a special 180-gram Alpenglow-vinyl edition.

Adding a final layer of unexpected fun, rapper DMC has assembled a wild crew for his RSD Black Friday EP America, featuring Sebastian Bach, Mick Mars, Duff McKagan, and Travis Barker. From jazz legends like Stan Getz and Charlie Parker to archival 1982 sets from Billy Idol and the B-52s, the sheer variety ensures that record store magic is about to hit an unforgettable high note.
