Quavo & Offset plan Migos final album and tour for Takeoff
The music world is taking a moment to reflect on a legendary group, and the desire to honor a fallen star is driving a powerful creative endeavor. Offset and Quavo are set to embark on a final chapter for the Migos, planning a new album that will posthumously feature the late Takeoff.
The project is a heartfelt tribute, aiming to preserve the essence of the group while weaving in the indelible legacy of their departed member. Takeoff, whose real name was Kirsnick Khari Ball, passed away at the age of 28 in 2022 following a tragic incident in Houston, Texas.
Despite the loss, the spirit of the group remains alive, manifested through the music. Quavo has confirmed plans for this final Migos album, which will build upon the success of their previous work, including the 2021 release Culture III. While Takeoff’s vocals will be featured posthumously, the goal is to create a sound that honors his memory while remaining authentically theirs.
“We coming back. We’re going to do it one more time,” Quavo stated, articulating the commitment to the project. He emphasized the need to honor Takeoff by ensuring the music sounded original and authentic, stressing that the legacy must continue to inspire listeners.

In 2023, Quavo and Offset had already shared a significant moment performing together for the first time since Takeoff’s death at the BET Awards, further solidifying their bond. They also participated in a video tribute for Takeoff’s track Hold Me following a memorial service.
The story of the group’s journey is intertwined with personal struggles. Offset’s own life has involved significant challenges, including being shot outside a Florida casino in April. Following this, he made a powerful public appearance, playing his first set since the shooting while navigating life in a wheelchair.
