Pynk Beard and ‘By Any Means’ Tour Seven Dates

Pynk Beard and Brandy attend a gala event for the release of “By Any Means” presented by Ole Smoky Distillery.

The intersection of history and modern soul has never sounded better. Pynk Beard, alongside Steve Ray Ladson, Elsie, and Stella Prince, are launching a vibrant musical expedition that dredges up the golden sounds of the 1960s, repackaging them with fresh, undeniable energy. The resulting project, the album By Any Means: The Album, is more than just a collection of songs; it’s a deep dive into the lineage of classic soul, R&B, and pop, all presented through a unique, genre-blending lens.

The star attraction is the upcoming “Moonshine & Music” tour, an event presented by Ole Smoky Roadshow that will bring this soulful interpretation to seven U.S. cities. Kicking off the journey on November 6th in St. Louis at Delmar Hall, the tour is set to take listeners on a nostalgic, yet exhilarating, ride through the history of music.

What makes this tour truly special is the diverse constellation of talent involved. Pynk Beard brings his signature take on Southern soul, while Ladson channels his self-described “Blackgrass Brothercana” style. Elsie crafts a beautiful blend of country, gospel, and blues, and Stella Prince adds her distinctive indie-folk touch. This combination creates a tapestry where classic influences are rewoven into something immediately contemporary.

The album itself is a masterclass in homage and reinvention. It features collaborations that honor legends, pairing artists with covers of songs by titans like Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, James Brown, Nina Simone, Otis Redding, and Dinah Washington. The tracklist showcases incredible reinterpretations, including Pynk Beard and Brandy’s rendition of Ray Charles’ “Hit the Road Jack,” and Elsie’s heartfelt take on Nina Simone’s “I Love Your Lovin’ Ways.”

The creative depth behind the music is equally impressive. Much of the recording took place at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, a historic epicenter for Southern soul music. The project was backed by industry heavyweights, including Hit-Boy, known for his work with Beyoncé and Jay-Z, and Dr. Blum, whose production credits span Twenty One Pilots and Nas.

Beyond the studio work, the album serves as a powerful platform for social impact. Net proceeds from By Any Means: The Album directly benefit the Black Music Action Coalition, an organization dedicated to advancing equity and expanding opportunities for Black artists and music-industry professionals.

The tour schedule offers accessible entry points for fans across the country. While tickets for concerts in cities like St. Louis, New Orleans, Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Los Angeles are set at $10, admission to shows at the Nashville and Myrtle Beach Ole Smoky Distillery locations is free. This accessibility ensures that the magic of the music is available to a wide audience.

The tour further features exciting guest appearances from artists such as Tone Stith, Reyna Roberts, 2’Live Bre, and Tatiana Marie Clark, who bring additional depth and variety to each stop. The tour has built momentum, following a performance at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas in conjunction with the album’s release.

This journey proves that classic sounds are not relics, but living, breathing blueprints for the future. The “Moonshine & Music” tour is a reminder that the most enduring music is the music that bridges generations, offering a soulful experience for everyone.
