Priya Ragu celebrates Tamil heritage in Madras
Priya Ragu is making a powerful statement, returning to the music scene with the release of her new single, Madras. This track isn’t just a song; it is the title track to her upcoming album, set to be released on November 26th.
The creation of this musical journey was a truly global affair. Priya Ragu immersed herself in the spirit of the region, writing the song across a diverse landscape that included Zurich, Goa, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kerala. This rich, multi-regional inspiration was then brought to life through a focused recording process in Chennai itself.
This latest release is part of a broader thematic exploration of identity and roots. Building on the emotional depth showcased in her recent single, Finally, Priya continues to emphasize the importance of place and heritage in her artistry. The sound of Madras serves as a vibrant tribute to the cultural tapestry she embodies.
