Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning Emotional Trailer

Back to the Beginning: The Epic Film Capturing Rock’s Most Emotional Finale

A powerful new film is coming to cinemas worldwide, capturing the historic and deeply moving concert that marked the final chapter for Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning.

This cinematic event immortalizes the historic July 5, 2025 concert held at Villa Park in Birmingham, an evening that served as both a farewell performance for the Prince of Darkness and the last show from Black Sabbath’s original lineup.

The emotional minute-long trailer sets the stage perfectly, showcasing the sheer scale of the event while hinting at the profound personal stories behind the music. It features reflections from musical director Tom Morello, who reflected on the unprecedented nature of the performance, noting that there has never been a precedent for such an experience.

The film intercuts raw footage of Osbourne and Sabbath on stage with the overwhelming emotion of the Villa Park crowd and glimpses behind the scenes. It is a visual tapestry woven from legendary musicianship and intense human connection.

Beyond the stage spectacle, the film offers intimate glimpses into the determination required to stage such an event. Sharon Osbourne shared the incredible fortitude it took for her husband to deliver the concert despite serious health challenges. “He was told he probably wouldn’t make it through the show,” she revealed. “He said, ‘No, I’m doing it. Whatever happens, happens.”

The climax of the film is steeped in poignancy, culminating in an image of Ozzy smiling at the audience just before offering his final, heartfelt blessing: “God bless each and every one of you. I love you all.”

The concert was a massive gathering, bringing together an astonishing array of heavy music royalty. The film showcases incredible all-star performances, including acts such as Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Tool, Slayer, Pantera, Alice In Chains, Gojira, Anthrax, Mastodon, Rival Sons, and Halestorm.

The event also featured a special performance by Yungblud, who delivered a rendition of ‘Changes’ with a stellar lineup of musicians.

The film captures the legendary reunion of Sabbath founding members, including Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, marking their first performance together in over two decades.

Osbourne’s setlist included iconic solo tracks like ‘I Don’t Know’, ‘Mr Crowley’, ‘Suicide Solution’, and ‘Crazy Train’, culminating in Black Sabbath’s powerful closing run through classics such as ‘War Pigs’, ‘N.I.B.’, ‘Iron Man’, and ‘Paranoid’, with ‘Mama I’m Coming Home’ serving as the final song.

The impact of the day extended far beyond the music. The entire concert ultimately raised approximately £11 million for charity, underscoring the generosity and emotional weight of the event. For the founding members, the experience brought a sense of closure and pure love, a sentiment echoed by Iommi and Butler.

The film will feature personal reflections from those who performed, alongside behind-the-scenes material involving Morello and host Jason Momoa.

Tickets for this historic cinematic experience will be available for a limited run in cinemas starting October 28, available now via the official website.
