Oblivion soundtrack orange vinyl release
Step into the sprawling, mysterious world of Cyrodiil, where epic journeys and haunting melodies intertwine. The legendary soundtrack from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is finally getting the physical form it deserves: a striking vinyl release.
For those who remember the immersive experience of traversing the fictional province of Cyrodiil, the music is just as unforgettable as the landscapes themselves. The score, crafted by Jeremy Soule, has long been celebrated for capturing the essence of dark fantasy—a blend of majestic orchestral themes, peaceful ambient compositions, and heroic, mysterious tones that perfectly accompany every step of the player’s journey.
Now, this celebrated score is being brought to life on vinyl by Laced Audio. This exclusive 2LP collection features the full 23-song soundtrack, specially mastered for vinyl and pressed onto distinctive ‘Oblivion Gate’ orange heavyweight discs.
The aesthetic of the release is as captivating as the music. The sleeve artwork is a visual feast, featuring the iconic Daedric rune of ‘Oht’ and several concept pieces from the world of Tamriel. It perfectly emphasizes the theme of adventure and timeless fantasy, reminding listeners of the epic scale that defines the game’s sonic landscape.
The music itself is a masterclass in emotional depth. Whether exploring rolling countryside, ancient ruins, or bustling cities, the score manages to be both soothing and heroic. It stands as one of gaming’s most beloved scores in the entire fantasy genre.
This vinyl release is part of a larger movement to celebrate the rich musical heritage of the entire The Elder Scrolls series. Earlier this year, an orchestral remix album featuring tracks from across the franchise, including Skyrim and Oblivion, showcased how these iconic themes can take on new dimensions through rich orchestration, featuring majestic choirs, enchanting strings, and heroic brass.
By releasing the original soundtrack on vinyl, the world of Oblivion is cementing its place as a classic, offering fans a tangible, collectible artifact of one of gaming’s most enduring musical achievements. Pre-order the deluxe vinyl now to experience the epic soundtrack of Oblivion.
