Obama announces 2026 UK arena tour

The 44th President of the United States is set to embark on a captivating arena tour across the UK, bringing his vision for the future to audiences in Belfast, Glasgow, and Manchester this October.

Titled An Evening with President Barack Obama, the live events are designed to spark conversation about “what comes next – for America, and for all of us,” as the country commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. It is a powerful opportunity to reflect on shared values and look toward a unified future.

The tour kicks off in Belfast at The O2 on October 13, followed by a journey to Glasgow’s OVO Hydro the next night on October 14. The run concludes in Manchester at Co-op Live on October 15, offering three consecutive nights of presidential reflection across Northern England and Ireland.

The momentum for tickets is building quickly. General sale begins on Friday, July 31st, following pre-sales that opened on Wednesday, July 29th. Fans eager to experience this event will need to be ready when tickets go live.

Beyond the concert dates, the tour is steeped in a message of inclusivity and collective action. President Obama himself emphasized the importance of community in his remarks, stating, “True democracy is a project that’s much bigger than any one of us. It’s bigger than any one person, any one president, and any one government. It’s a job for all of us.”

Organizers of the event, including Kilimanjaro CEO Stuart Galbraith and Fane Group CEO Alex Fane, expressed their excitement about the tour. They noted that President Obama’s message of unity and progress deeply resonates, anticipating an evening that will inspire and empower everyone who attends.

This UK journey follows a successful precedent, with similar events held in September at London’s O2 Arena and Dublin’s 3Arena, demonstrating the growing appetite for these cross-cultural discussions.

The tour places the legacy of a president who served two terms as the first Black person elected to the office before the White House. Obama’s work extends beyond the presidency, involving efforts through the Obama Foundation and the creation of the Obama Presidential Center on Chicago’s South Side, underscoring a commitment to leadership and community development.
