No Creeps Movement forms Music Safety Alliance

The music industry is a vibrant, complex landscape fueled by creativity and passion, but for many artists, songwriters, producers, and crew members, the pursuit of excellence often comes with hidden risks. A new force is stepping in to change that narrative, dedicated to ensuring that the creative process is not only inspiring but also safe and equitable: the Music Safety Alliance.

The Music Safety Alliance (MSA) will officially launch as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on No Creeps! movement, transforming it into a national entity focused squarely on creating safer and more inclusive environments for everyone involved in music creation.

The core mission of the Music Safety Alliance is to tackle the long-standing gaps in workplace protections and inconsistent safety standards across the entire music ecosystem. Rather than waiting for incidents to occur, the organization aims to be proactive, providing preventative tools, collaborative solutions, and industry best practices that can be applied everywhere from recording sessions and tours to writers’ camps and live events.

By focusing on education and advocacy, MSA is setting out to shift the industry’s approach. The work centers around three critical pillars: developing practical resources and educational materials, advocating for stronger standards regarding safety and inclusion, and building community through workshops, networking events, and the ongoing No Creeps! series.

To bring these goals to life, the Alliance has already planned a range of highly practical initiatives designed to empower professionals immediately. These include the Session Safety Checklist, the Sustainable Creativity Workshop, the Burnout Prevention Toolkit, and a comprehensive Studio Certification Program. These resources are designed to equip music professionals with tangible steps toward safer, more sustainable careers.

This crucial effort is being bolstered by a strong network of industry partners committed to collective change. Organizations such as Warner Music Group, She Is The Music, Keychange U.S., Women In Music, The 100 Percenters, and TuneCore are joining forces with MSA, demonstrating a unified commitment to elevating workplace standards.

Led by a dedicated team, the Alliance is poised for significant growth. Executive Director , Director of Programs & Community will steer the organization’s ambitious vision.

The Music Safety Alliance represents more than just a new nonprofit; it is a commitment to building an industry where creativity thrives without compromise. With educational programming, strategic partnerships, and practical tools at its core, MSA is setting a new standard for how the music world protects and supports the people who make it happen.
