NCT 127 Neo City Tour Sold Out Seoul Run

The celebration reached a fever pitch in Seoul this past month as the globally celebrated K-pop act NCT 127 kicked off their fifth headlining tour, Neo City: The Redline. More than just a concert series, these three-night events transformed into a vibrant, sold-out celebration of the group’s remarkable 10th anniversary.

The climax arrived on Saturday, September 20th, when the final Seoul performance took place at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park. The energy was electric, drawing an estimated 31,500 fans who packed the venue, including those with restricted-view seats. It was a perfect culmination of a journey marked by massive success and unforgettable performance artistry.

The stage production for the Seoul dates was nothing short of ambitious, showcasing the group’s evolution through dynamic staging. From the high-flying opening number “Legacy,” where members descended through wires, to the high-energy “Punch” staged amidst a boxing-ring aesthetic, NCT 127 delivered a show packed with spectacle. They even brought the fun to the audience with the “Piñata” performance, where members appeared in a real vehicle, adding another layer of immersive excitement.

Musically, the set flowed seamlessly, weaving together massive hits like “Fire Truck,” “Fact Check,” and “Kick It” with tracks from their newest album. Demonstrating their growth over the decade, leader Taeyong even debuted a brand-new rap verse for the beloved hit “Cherry Bomb,” proving that the group was still constantly evolving.

Beyond the dazzling choreography, the final shows carried an undeniable emotional weight. The audience was deeply moved by the presence of members Jungwoo and Doyoung, who are currently completing their mandatory military service. As a touching gesture to mark the group’s milestone, Doyoung brought a specially prepared rice cake to share with the crowd on the final night.

NCT 127’s journey is one of undeniable commercial dominance. Since their debut in 2016, the group has firmly established themselves as one of K-pop’s most successful acts. They have consistently topped the charts, achieving significant milestones on the Billboard 200, including their 2020 album Neo Zone, which hit No. 5, and their follow-ups Sticker and 2 Baddies, further cementing their status as an industry powerhouse.

The Neo City: The Redline tour is far from over; it is set to continue its spectacular journey across Asia until January 2027, with dates lined up for major cities including Jakarta, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, Taipei, and Kuala Lumpur.
