Muse Reveals ‘The Wow! Signal’ European Tour
The meteoric rise of Muse is setting the stage for an interstellar journey, as the legendary rock trio prepares to bring their epic sound to Europe in 2027. Following the critical success of their recent work, the band is gearing up for another massive headline arena tour, promising to take fans on a sonic expedition that is as ambitious as it is brilliant.
This upcoming European leg is built on the momentum of their tenth album, ‘The Wow! Signal’, which received high praise from critics, including a four-star review from NME, which called it Muse’s “best album in 20 years”. The band recently concluded their North American 2026 tour, cementing their place as one of the world’s most influential rock acts.
To support the celebration of this era, the tour will feature the powerhouse Boston rock outfit Dead Poet Society, adding another layer of electrifying energy to the performance.
The countdown to the European dates is on. Matt Bellamy and the band have confirmed a series of incredible stops across the continent, taking place in early January 2027. Fans can look forward to performances in Lisbon on January 10th, followed by a whirlwind of dates across France and Spain, including Bordeaux on January 12th and 13th, Lyon on January 16th and 17th, Madrid on January 19th and 20th, and Valencia on January 23rd.
Before embarking on this grand European voyage, the band has been openly discussing the vision behind their sound. Frontman Matt Bellamy shared the inspiring, if slightly tongue-in-cheek, ambition of their next chapter. He described their musical goal as trying to “build a spaceship,” experimenting with new lasers, and exploring the sci-fi realm—a pursuit he admitted is far more expensive than building some houses!
Despite the humorous tone, the vision is clearly serious. Bellamy added that while the trip might not actually result in flight, the experience promises to be something truly cool. “I don’t think it will [fly],” he joked, “but it will be something cool, I promise.”
As the band looks ahead to this next phase, they have also navigated the rapid shifts in the digital landscape, recently having to change their social media handles to accommodate Meta’s new AI tool. Bellamy has since responded, noting that the company’s CEO had provided him with the beta version of the AI before its official launch.
Muse is clearly ready to continue pushing boundaries, blending epic rock with futuristic themes, and delivering a spectacle that is as vast as their musical imagination.
